If you want to display a list of your latest entries, check out this Recent Post Widget for your Tumblr page.
Features:
- Displays a list of your tumblelog’s most recent entries.
- Photo posts will be displayed in thumbnails.
- Text/caption in a post will be displayed in summary.
- Uses the post’s text (caption, description, etc.) as a clickable link to the post if a post has no title.
How To Install
Copy the code below and paste it into your site description.
- Sign in to your tumblr account and go to your Dashboard.
- Locate and click the link that says “Customize”.
- Click the Info tab in the main menu.
- Paste the code into the descripton box.
- Click Save Changes. And that’s it!
Of course you can place the widget anywhere you want it to appear. Depending on the theme you’re using, you can paste the code somewhere in your Custom HTML:
Customize → Theme → Use Custom HTML
You can also place the widget above the posts. The widget will auto-fit its width.

Save a backup copy
If you Use Custom HTML, be sure to backup your theme’s html before adding any code to it. Copy the whole HTML and save it in Notepad, Wordpad or any simple text editor.
