This widget will display the last (most recent) 20 photos from your tumblelog.

Features:

• A slide show of images. Displays your recent photo posts.
• Images are displayed in thumbnail fashion on the bottom of the widget.
• If a photo post includes a caption, the caption will be displayed on mouseover of the image.
• Uses the post’s text (caption, description, etc.) as a clickable link pointing back to the post.

This is how a Slideshow Widget will look like if placed above the posts.

How To Install

Copy the code below and paste it into your site description.

1. Sign in to your tumblr account and go to your Dashboard.
2. Locate and click the link that says “Customize”.
3. Click the Info tab in the main menu.
4. Paste the code into the descripton box.
5. Click Save Changes. And that’s it!

Of course you can place the widget anywhere you want it to appear.  Depending on the theme you’re using, you can paste the code somewhere in your Custom HTML:

Customize → Theme → Use Custom HTML

You can also place the widget above the posts. (Use the second code below)

Save a backup copy
It’s always a good idea to backup your theme’s HTML before adding any code to it.   Copy the whole HTML and save it in Notepad, Wordpad or any simple text editor.
